What if Goku was in Naruto | fanfiction

Goku wandered through the shiny halls of Capsule Corp, his footsteps echoing faintly as he moved past the high-tech doors and glowing panels. Curious as ever, he poked his head into one of the open rooms—Bulma’s lab.

There, surrounded by tools and glowing screens, was Bulma herself, hunched over a strange device with wires spilling out like spaghetti.

“Hey, Bulma!” Goku called out with his usual big grin. “Whatcha working on?”

Bulma looked up, clearly surprised but quickly smiling when she saw him. “Goku! What brings you here today?” she said, brushing some hair from her face. “Don’t tell me you’re bored again.”

“Well, uh…” Goku scratched the back of his head sheepishly. “I kinda broke Gohan’s computer, and… well, I don’t have to tell you how cheap he can be. Think you could fix it for me?”

Bulma laughed, rolling her eyes. “Seriously, Goku? A computer? You know that’s child’s play for me. Of course I’ll fix it. Just put it on the table—I’ll get to it soon.”

Goku strolled over and gently set the broken computer down. He turned to leave, but then paused and rubbed his stomach. “Hey, uh… got anything to eat? I’m feelin’ a bit hungry.”

Bulma crossed her arms with a smirk. “Jeez, Goku. Did you really come here to visit us, or were you just following the scent of food?”

Goku laughed, not even trying to deny it. “Maybe a little of both?”

“Well, lucky for you, you’re just in time. We’re about to eat,” she said with a shrug.

“Sweet!” Goku plopped himself down nearby, looking happy and relaxed. After a few quiet minutes, his curiosity got the better of him again.

“So… what is that thing you’re working on?” he asked, pointing at the strange device she had been fiddling with earlier.

Bulma didn’t even look up. “It’s my latest invention. I’m calling it… the Dimension Machine.”

“Dimension Machine?” Goku tilted his head. “What’s it for?”

Bulma suddenly shot him an annoyed glare. “Ugh, Goku! It does dimension stuff, okay?! I saw something like it in a movie and thought, ‘Hey, I could totally build that.’ So now I’m building it!”

Goku raised his hands in surrender. “Alright, alright! Just asking!”

“Go bug someone else. Vegeta’s upstairs training,” Bulma snapped, clearly getting tired of his questions.

Not wanting to push his luck—and definitely not wanting to risk losing his promised meal—Goku nodded. “Okay, okay, I’m gone!” With a quick flicker, he vanished in an instant.

He reappeared upstairs, right in the middle of Vegeta’s training room. The walls rattled slightly with the force of Vegeta’s punches as the Saiynn prince threw blow after blow at a reinforced training bot.

Vegeta paused mid-strike, glancing over. “Hmph. Took you long enough, Kakarot.”

“Heh. Thought you might want a quick spar,” Goku replied, cracking his knuckles.

Vegeta smirked. “You read my mind.”

The two launched at each other in a flurry of movement, fists and energy clashing as they filled the room with shockwaves. Time passed quickly in their battle until Bulma’s voice echoed over the intercom.

“Goku! Come back down—your stuff’s ready!”

With a quick goodbye nod to Vegeta, Goku disappeared once again, reappearing in the lab.

But when he got there, Bulma was nowhere in sight.

“Bulma?” he called out.

Her voice drifted in from behind a closed door. “I already fixed your computer. It’s next to the dimension device—it’s plugged in. Just unplug it and go grab the food from the kitchen. The cook left it out for you.”

Goku’s eyes landed on the table. Sure enough, the computer was sitting there. But so was the Dimension Machine. And both were plugged in.

“Uh… I think it’s this one?” Goku muttered, reaching toward the cords. He gave one a firm tug.

Immediately, the machine buzzed to life.

Bright sparks shot from the side, and a low hum turned into a high-pitched whir. Lights blinked rapidly, and a glowing aura pulsed from the machine.

“Uh-oh…” Goku stared in confusion. “Did I break it? Again?”

Before he could even move, the air around him twisted—and with a sudden flash—he vanished from the lab.

The world around him went dark for a split second, then reappeared… completely different.

He stood now in the middle of a quiet, unfamiliar forest. Trees stretched up around him like towers, their leaves rustling softly in a breeze he didn’t recognize.

“Where… am I?” Goku whispered.

He placed two fingers to his forehead, focusing hard. He tried to find the energy signals of the Z Fighters—but nothing came.

“What? Where is everyone?” he said, brows furrowed. “I can’t sense anyone… not even Piccolo or Krillin.”

He hovered slightly off the ground. “Flying Nimbus!” he called out.

Nothing.

“…Weird. It usually finds me no matter what.”

Goku landed again, confused and now just a little bit nervous. “Guess I’ll have to ask someone around here what this place is…”

He started to walk, heading toward what looked like a clearing in the distance. Meanwhile, far away, two figures cloaked in black stood on a rocky ledge overlooking a path.

One had stitches across his body, a dark mask, and eyes filled with cold disinterest. The other carried a scythe and had a wild, twisted grin on his face.

“Hidan,” the stitched one said, voice low and annoyed. “Can I remind you… I get the next one.”

Hidan groaned. “Aw, come on, Kakuzu! Why do you always get to have the fun first?”

“Because your stupid ceremony takes forever,” Kakuzu snapped. “Just shut up for once.”

They stood there bickering for a moment longer—until they both stopped.

Their eyes narrowed.

Something—someone—was heading toward them, and whatever it was carried a massive amount of chakra.

“What a weird chakra…” Hidan muttered, eyes narrowing as the presence moved closer.

“I can feel it too,” Kakuzu said, his voice low and serious. “It’s strong. And it’s coming straight toward us.”

Without waiting for a clearer look, both cloaked warriors hurled their sharp, curved kunai straight toward the source of the energy—toward Goku.

But what happened next made them freeze.

With barely a flick of his hand, Goku caught both blades in midair. Effortlessly. One in each hand.

“Hey,” Goku said with a friendly grin. “I think you dropped these.”

He held the kunai up like he was returning lost toys, completely unfazed by the fact that they’d been thrown at him with deadly intent.

Hidan blinked. “What the…?”

Kakuzu took a step back. “Impossible. We didn’t even see him move.”

“This can’t be real,” Kakuzu said, his voice growing tense. “It has to be a genjutsu.”

“That’s the only explanation,” he said, now fully convinced. “No one is blessed with that kind of speed.”

Determined to snap out of what he thought was an illusion, Kakuzu suddenly raised a blade and slashed into his own arm.

“Hey! Good idea!” Hidan chirped, without thinking twice. He proceeded to jam his scythe into his own gut with a loud stab, grinning all the while.

Goku’s eyes went wide. “Uh… what are you guys doing?”

He watched, completely baffled, as the two injured themselves like it was some sort of ritual. Goku scratched his head and sighed.

“I was just hoping to ask for directions. But these people are really weird.”

Deciding not to waste any more time, Goku turned and soared into the sky, scanning for energy. He picked up some faint life forces in the distance—normal ones this time—and placed two fingers on his forehead.

With a quick burst of teleportation, he vanished.

When he reappeared, Goku stood near the edge of what looked like a small town—a village tucked inside a forest. The buildings had curved rooftops and tall walls surrounding them. A giant wooden gate stood in front.

He took a step forward but was immediately stopped by a pair of guards wearing headbands with a leaf symbol carved into the metal plates.

“Hold it!” one of them barked, stepping in front of Goku. “Who are you? Where’s your pass?”

“My… pass?” Goku tilted his head. “I don’t know what you mean. I’m just looking for something to eat before heading back to Satan City.”

The guards exchanged a look. One of them whispered, “Is this guy serious? No pass, weird outfit, weird hair…”

The other frowned. “He could be a terrible spy. Or just really dumb.”

“I’m sorry,” the first guard said more firmly. “Movement within the village without a pass is strictly prohibited.”

Goku rubbed the back of his head. “I wasn’t trying to sneak in or anything. I didn’t even know there were passes…”

He turned slightly, thinking maybe he should just try and head back home. Except… he still had no idea where he was.

He glanced back at the guards. “Okay, so… can either of you tell me where I am?”

That was enough to set them off.

“I knew it!” the second guard shouted. “He’s here to get information! Spy! Capture him!”

In a flash, both guards lowered their spears, pointing them right at Goku’s stomach. Without hesitation, they lunged.

But Goku didn’t flinch. He simply leaned a little to the side, stepping out of the way of every single strike with ease. The spears never even grazed him.

“I don’t want to fight!” Goku said, backing up with his hands raised. “I just need directions to Satan City!”

But the guards weren’t listening. They kept swinging wildly, their strikes growing more frantic.

Realizing words weren’t helping, Goku finally let out a light pulse of energy. A shockwave of ki blasted from him, not enough to hurt—but more than enough to send both guards flying backward into the gate wall.

The ground shook. Leaves fluttered down from nearby trees.

The noise and the sudden spike in chakra caught the attention of someone else—someone watching from a hidden perch nearby.

Asuma, a top jonin of the Hidden Leaf, opened his eyes behind the leaves.
